Mobile Home Rehabilitation Coordinator

30-40 hours per week, serving families in Rice County, Minnesota
In collaboration with a number of community partners, Growing Up Healthy is seeking a Mobile Home Rehabilitation Coordinator to join our team. The person in this position will support the increased safety, health, and energy efficiency of mobile homes for residents in Rice County by connecting them with local and regional rehabilitation programs and licensed/insured contractors to complete rehabilitation work. The person in this role will coordinate with contractors, homeowners, residents, and/or mobile home park managers to ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, contractual, and code regulations, and assist residents and contractors with forms and verifications needed to access local rehabilitation and energy assistance programs.
Required qualifications:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite (Google Drive, Gmail, etc.)
- Ability to efficiently coordinate work tasks and communication among groups of mobile home owners, contractors, code officials, public officials, volunteers, and residents
- Ability to read and understand safety and regulatory codes and contractual language.
- Ability to track data effectively and timely according to grant requirements
- Able to work outside in neighborhoods as well as in an office setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and manage complicated workflows
- Excellent ability to remain calm and flexible in order to solve problems and troubleshoot issues
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Capable of completing work on time in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Ability to work select evening hours and to travel within Rice County (must possess and maintain a valid Minnesota driver’s license)
- Willingness to maintain the standards, carry out the purpose, and adhere to the policies of the Healthy Community Initiative
- Maintenance of a cell phone is an expectation of employment
Preferred qualities:
- Familiarity with Northfield, Faribault, and Rice County organizations and resources
- Associate Degree from a regionally accredited two-year college; or vocational or specialized construction trade certificate and three years of experience in project management, property management or a related field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience as indicated above
- Knowledge of housing inspection and construction methods, procedures, and practices
