Joined the HCI team in 2014
Meleah has been active in the nonprofit arena for the past 24 years as both volunteer and staff; she served as Executive Director of a start-up nonprofit in Minneapolis, President of the Junior League of Minneapolis, Chair of the Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery’s Board of Directors, and she has served on numerous nonprofit boards locally and nationally. She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Notre Dame and a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Loyola University Chicago.
As Network Impact Director, Meleah works with and supports a diverse team that is focused on enhancing HCI’s collective impact and cradle-to-career work. Team members work together to develop and execute strategies that recruit, develop, and retain Network members and increase the Network’s impact and reach through events, engagement activities, assessment, and evaluation.
Meleah’s favorite part about her role is the amazing people she interacts with — the staff, the partners, the community members and “for me most importantly, the youth who push us to do and be better on a daily basis!”
Fun fact: Meleah grew up on the West Coast but is a full Midwesterner now. She lives in the country with two dogs, one husband, and one riding lawn mower!
