Healthy Community Initiative

This project will help a Girl Scout attain her Silver Award.  She is planning a two-part project.  The first part will be to host an “Intro to Music Day” event at Way Park in late August or September. The event will incorporate the five large instruments that were recently installed on the park’s plaza. The event will be geared toward young children (pre-kindergarten) and will focus on musical-themed activities.  The second part of her project is to take the materials leftover from the Way Park event and create music-themed book packs for the Northfield Public Library.  These book packs would then be available for check-out and can be enjoyed for a long time to come by many people.
