Dr. Angelica Koch
DrPH, MPH
Assistant Director, CEARCH
Lecturer, School of Public Health University of Minnesota
HCI Board Member Since 2023
Why did you join the HCI Board?
“As the founding ED for HealthFinders, I had great interest in someday serving on the HCI board and supporting the amazing work they do. It was a goal for me to prioritize HCI board membership as soon as I completed my DrPH degree and was ready to get back to community engagement efforts.
I am deeply dedicated to empowering our youth by ensuring they have access to higher education, opportunities for personal and professional growth, and the skills needed to thrive in their communities. As a Hispanic, first-generation college graduate, and mother of two daughters, I want to lead by example, showing that we can achieve anything we set our minds to. Every experience along the way plays a vital role in shaping who we become. I strive to contribute to building communities led by resilient, successful leaders who embody grit and determination.”
Fun Fact:
“I am a Carleton alum, class of ’02 and fell in love with our beautiful Northfield community. I knew I would want to live here and have my children experience such an amazing life – the townie life!”
