Joined the HCI team in 2025
Rae has nearly a decade of experience working in the Minnesota nonprofit sector, driven by her passion for increasing access to opportunities for youth and families. Before joining HCI, she served as a Grants Officer at The Family Partnership and as the Director of Mission Advancement at Dunrovin Retreat Center.
She is also an active volunteer at Harvest from the Heart Resource Center in South Minneapolis. Rae graduated from Carleton College with a degree in English and psychology and attended Minnesota State University, Mankato’s MFA program for creative writing.
As a Senior Grant Writer at HCI, Rae works to secure grant funding that sustains and expands the impact of the organization and its partners. Her favorite part of the job is sharing the incredible programs that strengthen Rice County with funders through compelling storytelling.
Fun fact: When she’s not writing grants, Rae enjoys spending time with her husband, two Bernese mountain dogs, one cat, and seven chickens at their home in South Minneapolis.
