Healthy Community Initiative

The TORCH Youth Advisory Board (YAB) applied for this YouthBank grant to fund educational field trips for TORCH students. The TORCH program already offers college visits, but the YAB was eager to create opportunities for TORCH students to learn about potential careers in a more hands-on and experiential way, such as exploring STEM careers at the Science Museum or learning about careers in environmental science and conservation while visiting a Minnesota State Park. YouthBank funding will pay for six field trips over the next academic year.
