Healthy Community Initiative

The planned project is a tennis clinic and tennis tournament in memory of David Narvaez, a Northfield native who passed away in August 2016.  David had a passion for tennis and was also a supportive mentor through the Project Friendship program.  This event is a fundraiser event that will benefit Project Friendship.  The day will consist of three parts.  First, there will be a youth tennis clinic for the Project Friendship mentees where Project Friendship mentees and their mentors will pair with community tennis coaches for a time of tennis instruction. Following the clinic, there will be a tournament for competitive amateur tennis players from the region.  Finally, there will be a reception following the tournament with food and music for everyone involved.
