Northfield Union of Youth Audio Equipment

This proposal was put forward by three youth that serve on the board at the Northfield Union of Youth (NUY). The youth recognized that youth in the community are desiring to play larger concerts in venues that often don’t have the audio equipment needed to support this type of event. The NUY wanted to be able to partner with Arcadia, Northfield High School, the ALC and other youth groups, including The Key, to ensure that there was equipment in the community that would support these larger venue events. The NUY wished to provide audio and sound equipment to all Northfield youth to “empower them to use and amplify their voice and presence in any way they deem fit.”
The YouthBank team was drawn to this project as the group is working collectively with others in the community and will support youth empowerment in a variety of ways.
