Healthy Community Initiative

As an Early Learning Support Specialist, Laura performs educational home visits with children ages 14 months to 3 years old. She introduces an educational book or toy a week and helps promote what playtime should look like between parent and child. The Growing Up Healthy team also provides wraparound support to families and refers them to local resources.

Laura’s favorite part about her role is helping children and families learn and grow. She loves to help advocate and see families succeed in life.

Fun fact: Laura is the only left-handed person in her family of five siblings, and she shares a birthday with one of her sisters, but they are three years apart.
