Healthy Community Initiative

Feeling that sexual assault and sexual harassment aren’t spoken about enough in high schools or the public, a group of three young women applied for a grant to spread the word to their fellow students and community about how much sexual assault and sexual harassment can affect a person. With a desire to provide information to help people their peers understand sexual assault and sexual harassment and how to detect and prevent them, this group will work with the high school administration to organize a program, including and educational speaker, that will help educate on this sensitive and important topic.

The YouthBank team was interested in funding this project to talk about an issue that is often kept under wraps.
