She has worked in youth development for more than eight years in various organizations and schools, both in Northfield and in San Francisco. While in college, Diana had an internship with the Community Action Center of Northfield. After graduation, she was an AmeriCorps Promise Fellow for the Greenvale Park Community School from 2020-2021 before joining Growing Up Healthy.
As an Early Learning Specialist, Diana conducts home visits twice a week for 13-16 families with children ages 14 months to 5 years. During these visits, she demonstrates effective verbal interaction and engagement techniques using new educational books or toys. She also helps identify and document the barriers and challenges families face, refers them to community resources, and assists with completing application forms or other paperwork to access services.
Diana enjoys making new connections and building relationships with families. She loves seeing the growth of each child through their two years in the program and being part of their learning process alongside their parent/caregiver!
