RISE (Realizing Individual Student Excellence) is an advising program for Faribault students needing academic support – as well as additional/intentional mentoring – to overcome barriers in their lives. RISE is an asset- and strengths-based effort focused on students of color, students experiencing poverty, and/or students who are English Learners.  The core of the program is to build a trusting relationship between students and caring, trained mentors who advocate on behalf of students and help overcome challenges they face in their lives.
